How is Big Springs Beef raised?
Our Black Angus Beef is raised without the use of antibiotics, steroids, or added hormones. Our cattle are pasture raised. As our beef animals near maturity, this diet of forages is supplemented with a mix of grains grown by us on our farm. Animal health and good husbandry practices are of the highest priority.
Grass Finished Beef Shares are also available, by request and can be reserved annually.

How do I know which size is right for me?
The size of your family and how frequently you enjoy eating beef will determine the order size that will best suit your needs. Most families of four are comfortable getting a quarter. That much beef takes up about 4 cubic feet of freezer space. Many of our customers have found other family members or friends to share a larger order with. This allows them to purchase a larger quantity at a cheaper price.

How will I store my beef?
Whether you're picking up at the farm or choose for us to deliver, your beef share will be frozen, vacuum packaged, labeled and ready to place in the freezer.
How will my beef be processed?
The beef is processed at a USDA federally-inspected facility. Each beef is USDA inspected. This ensures that our product has the highest degree of food safety available. Dry-aged at least 14 days, creating a deeper, beefier flavor, in contrast to most supermarket beef, which is usually wet-aged and for a short time, so it’s not as flavorful. But don't take our word for it we invite you to taste and see!
